CCDS: Public note 06/19/2013 NCBI The coding region has been updated to extend the N-terminus to one that is more supported by the available transcript and conservation data. The transcript is predicted to be a candidate for nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD), but the protein is represented because the gene is believed to be protein-coding based on good conservation of the CDS, and because all currently available mouse transcripts (AK029507.1, AK132763.1 and BC150937.1) are NMD candidates. Furthermore, the stop codon is only 56 nts from the last splice site, which suggests that the transcript is only marginally an NMD candidate and may escape NMD at least some of the time.
