The coding region has been updated to extend the N-terminus to one that is supported by available conservation data: the update is conserved in mouse, rat, dog, horse, cow and pig, but not in primates and supported by homologous and paralogous C1s-A proteins. Furthermore, the use of an alternative upstream start codon does not diminish the prediction of the signal peptide per SignalP 3.0.
