Genome Information for Streptococcus oralis
Streptococcus oralis subsp. tigurinus J22 is a high H2O2-producing oral commensal bacterium.
More...Streptococcus oralis subsp. tigurinus J22 is a high H2O2-producing oral commensal bacterium. In polymicrobial oral biofilms, it antagonizes H2O2-susceptible cariogenic pathogens, such as Streptococcus mutans. Since the whole genome of S. oralis J22 is not available in a public domain, this project will help to conduct the molecular experiment (e.g. RNAseq) to elucidate the mechanisms of action involved in inhibiting the assembly of cariogenic oral communities.
