Genome Information for Brucella melitensis
Brucellosis a highly contagious zoonosis being endemic in Egypt and occurs worldwide.
More...Brucellosis a highly contagious zoonosis being endemic in Egypt and occurs worldwide. Control of brucellosis in animals require vaccination and eradication of infected animals. While, in humans no vaccination is found and treatment is a combination of antibiotics recommended by the World Health Organization. Whole-genome sequencing (WGS) is a widely used molecular typing method. The study aimed to confirm Brucella at the species level and investigate AMR and pathogenicity associated determinants of the isolates obtained from different localities in Egypt based on whole genome analysis.
