More...In order to assess the importance of EPS for the physiology of Rhizobium leguminosarum, a mutant deleted for pssA gene, defective in EPS production, was subjected to RNA-Seq transcriptomic analysis. By means of bioinformatic tools, in the transcriptome of pssA mutant several hundred of differentially expressed genes (DEG) were identified, as compared to the wild type strain. The individual DEGs were classified into the COG categories as well as assigned to the KEGG metabolic pathways.
