Phaeobacter inhibens DSM 17395

A marine microorganism that protects scallop larvae from infection

See Genome Information for Phaeobacter inhibens
This marine strain is antagonistic to Vibrio species on agar plates. The inhibitory effect is due to the production of an antibacterial substance, which was demonstrated to enhance the survival of scallop larvae.
