Chromohalobacter israelensis DSM 3043

A moderate halophile which can grow on a variety of salts

Chromohalobacter salexigens DSM 3043. Chromohalobacter salexigens DSM 3043 was first isolated from a solar salt facility on Bonaire Island, Netherlands Antilles. This is the type strain for the species and will be used for comparative genomics.
