Description

A suspension of both SMOOTH and NONSMOOTH colonies (sample ID 100158) was used to inoculate a 72 hour anaerobic culture in chemically defined minmal medium in bioreactor vessel 4. This culture was diluted and plated on blood agar base + hemin medium and grown overnight at 37C under 5% CO2 to generate a SMOOTH colony with source material sampleID 100198. This colony was aerobically cultured overnight in chemically defined minmal medium from which the DNA for sequencing was extracted.
