Mycobacterium llatzerense is a facultatively autotrophic, aerobic and hydrogen-oxidizing bacteria, proposed as a novel species in the rapid growing mycobacteria group by Gomila et al. (2008). It was isolated from a pure water distribution system of a haemodialysis unit. Later on was reported an invasive pneumoniae attributed to M. llatzerense by Texeira et al. (2013) and was isolated for the first time in an abdominal abscess (Cardenas et al., 2014).
