Description

We report here the draft genome sequence of Enterobacter spp. strain 8706, a strain isolated from an infant exhibiting bloody diarrhea in Mexico. Strains with the same pulsetype were isolated from a total of two patients and powdered infant formula (PIF). These illnesses demonstrated the first possible transmission of Enterobacter from PIF to infants.
