Lck-interacting transmembrane adapter 1 LIME1 is a family of eukaryotic transmembrane adaptors. It plays an important role in linking BCR stimulation to B-cell activation and is expressed in primary B cells. LIME localizes to lipid rafts in T cells in response to TCR stimulation, and is phosphorylated by Lck and recruits signalling molecules such as Lck, PI3K, Grb2, Gads, and SHP-2. LIME acts as the transmembrane adaptor linking BCR-induced membrane-proximal signalling to B-cell activation.
