Description

This variant, c.1549_1551del, results in the deletion of 1 amino acid(s) of the SELENON protein (p.Glu517del), but otherwise preserves the integrity of the reading frame. This variant is not present in population databases (gnomAD no frequency). This variant has been observed in individual(s) with clinical features of SELENON-related conditions (Invitae). It has also been observed to segregate with disease in related individuals. Experimental studies and prediction algorithms are not available or were not evaluated, and the functional significance of this variant is currently unknown.
