Expression profiles of ncRNA and mRNA in C57 and AD model mice(APP/PS1 and P301S) at the age of 3, 6 and 12 months respectively

(Submitter supplied) Alzheimer's disease(AD) is a neurodegenerative disease with a long incubation period. Most of the constructed lncRNA-associated ceRNA regulatory networks are only based on the differences between clinical AD and control people or mice at a single time piont, the dynamic changes of these transcripts expression profiles with age from non-set to onset of AD need to be further elucidated.

Gene expression profiles in the inner ears of Fscn2 knockout mice compared with the control mice

(Submitter supplied) Fscn2-/- mouse is a typical model of age-related hearing loss which exhibits progressive hearing impairment and outer hair cell loss from 3 weeks of age. To investigate the molecular mechanism of hearing loss in Fscn2 knockout mice, gene expression profiling was performed on the inner ears for Fscn2+/+ and Fscn2-/- mice at 8 weeks of age using microarray analysis. Hearing screening tests at 8 weeks of age showed that the auditory brainstem response thresholds of Fscn2-/- mice were increased to 70-75 dB SPL at stimuli of click, while those of Fscn2+/+ mice were within the normal range(< 55 dB SPL). more...

Reduced transformation of intestinal smooth muscle cells into fibroblasts inhibit intestinal wound healing and colitis-associated cancer in ageing mice

(Submitter supplied) Although ageing is usually regarded as a high risk of cancer, the relationship between ageing stromal microenvironment and spontaneous cancer initiation is poorly understood. In murine models of DSS-induced colitis and AOM/DSS-induced colitis-associated cancer (CAC), we found ageing significantly inhibit both intestinal wound healing and simultaneous CAC initiation. In young mice, through conditional lineage tracing, a novel and important source of fibroblasts transformed from intestinal smooth muscle cells (ISMCs) was identified during intestinal wound healing, which existed persistently in CAC. more...

Expression profiles of lncRNA and mRNA in the liver of Echinococcus multilocularis-infected mice

(Submitter supplied) Echinococcus multilocularis (Em) infection and the growth and proliferation of its metacestode within the liver of hosts are related to complex host–parasite interactions at the molecular level. However, the profiles of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) and mRNAs of mice in response to Em are poorly understood. In this study, we detected numerous differentially expressed lncRNAs (DELs) and mRNAs (DEMs) in the mouse liver at eight time points after Em infection. more...

Differentially expressed RNAs in the skin tissue of IRF1 knockout mice following radiation

(Submitter supplied) This study aims to compared RNA expression profiles between the skin tissues of IRF1 knockout (IRF-/-) mice and wild-type mice by microarray analysis. Male IRF1 knockout (IRF-/-) mice and wild-type mice (8 weeks old) were irradiated with a single 35-Gy dose of irradiation was administered to the treatment area at a rate of 750 cGy/min using a 6-MeV electron beam accelerator (Clinac 2100EX, Varian Medical Systems, Inc., CA). more...

The temporal expression of lncRNAs and mRNAs in the AOM/DSS induced primary colon cancer model

(Submitter supplied) Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have potential applications in clinical diagnosis and targeted cancer therapies. However, the expression profile of lncRNAs in colorectal cancer (CRC) initiation and progression is still unclear. In the present study, the expression profiles of lncRNAs and mRNAs were determined by microarray at specific tumor stages in an AOM/DSS-induced primary colon cancer model.
