(Submitter supplied) OmpR is a DNA binding protein belonging to the OmpR/EnvZ two component system. This system is known to sense changes in osmolarity in Escherichia coli. Recently, OmpR in Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium was found to be activated by acidic pH and DNA relaxation. Oxford Gene Technology Chip2 Salmonella typhimurium microarray SL1344 strain product code: 010021

(Submitter supplied) 60bp oligonucleotide probes spaced approximately 60bp apart throughout the genome (42,021 for the genome, additional probes for the three plasmids). Probes were evenly distributed between strands. Probes were synthesised on the glass surface by ink jet printer which deposits phosphoramidites onto the glass (ink-jet in-situ synthesis) followed by coupling and repeat of the cycle. Probes are spotted onto standard 1 by 3 microscope slides with four arrays per slide.
