Portrait of transcriptional responses to ultraviolet and ionizing radiation in human cells

(Submitter supplied) Peripheral blood lymphocytes from a total of 15 healthy individuals without history of cancer (NoCa) were immortalized with Epstein-Barr virus. Cells were exposed to mock treatment (Mock), ultra-violet radiation (UV), or ionizing radiation (IR). For UV radiation treatment, cells were exposed to 10 J/m^2 and harvested for RNA 24 hours later. For IR treatment, cells were exposed to 5 Gy of IR and harvested for RNA 4 hours later. more...

DNA damage from ultraviolet and ionizing radiation effect on peripheral blood lymphocytes

Analysis of peripheral blood lymphocytes exposed to ultraviolet (10 J/m^2) or ionizing radiation (5 Gy). Lymphocytes obtained from 15 healthy individuals from ages 21 to 36 years and immortalized with Epstein-Barr virus. Results provide insight into transcriptional response to DNA damage.

Toxicity from radiation therapy associated with abnormal transcriptional responses to DNA damage

(Submitter supplied) Peripheral blood lymphocytes from a total of 57 patients were immortalized with Epstein-Barr virus. Fourteen radiation-therapy patients suffered unusual levels of radiation toxicity (RadS). Thirteen radiation-therapy patients with limited toxicity (RadC) were enrolled as controls. Fifteen patients diagnosed with skin cancer before age 40 (SkCa) were used as a second group of controls. Fifteen healthy subjects without any history of cancer (NoCa) were matched to the skin cancer patients and used as a third group of controls. more...

Radiation therapy toxicity association with abnormal transcriptional response to DNA damage

Analysis of UV and IR irradiated lymphoblastoid cell lines derived from the peripheral blood of patients with acute radiation toxicity. Samples taken 2 months after the completion of radiation therapy. Results provide insight into the role of the response to DNA damage in radiation toxicity.

[HG_U95Av2] Affymetrix Human Genome U95 Version 2 Array

(Submitter supplied) Affymetrix submissions are typically submitted to GEO using the GEOarchive method described at http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/projects/geo/info/geo_affy.html June 03, 2009: annotation table updated with netaffx build 28 June 08, 2012: annotation table updated with netaffx build 32 June 27, 2016: annotation table updated with netaffx build 35 Protocol: see manufacturer's web site Based on this UniGene build and associated annotations, the HG-U95Av2 array represents approximately 10,000 full-length genes. more...
