(Submitter supplied) Adiponectin is thought to be involved in the regulation of metabolic homeostasis and reproductive processes. Adiponectin controls carbohydrate and lipid metabolism by regulating the fatty acid oxidation process, increasing insulin sensitivity and decreasing plasma triglyceride levels.
