A Pathobiological Role of the Insulin Receptor in CLL.

(Submitter supplied) Purpose: The chromosomal deletion 11q affects biology and clinical outcome in CLL but del11q-deregulated genes remain incompletely characterized. Results: We have identified differential expression of the insulin receptor (INSR) in CLL, including high-level INSR expression in the majority of CLL with del11q. Chronic lymphocytic leukemia with chromosomal deletion 11q: peripheral blood CD19+ cells

Analysis of CD19+cells from peripheral blood of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) patients with interstitial deletions on the long arm of chromosome 11 (del11q). Del11q is associated with progressive and aggressive CLL. Results provide insight into the molecular pathogenesis of CLL with del11q.
