Effects of high-fat maternal diet and transcription factor Cited2 deficiency on embryos

Analysis of Cited2-deficient, C57BL6/J embryos from high-fat diet mothers. Maternal high-fat diet results in abnormal laterality and cleft palate in Cited2 -/- embryos. Results provide insight into a gene-environment interaction with significant consequences for patterning the developing embryo.
