Summary
This genomic element, which is orthologous to the intestine-critical region (ICR) of human chromosome 16, represents the 5' regulatory region of the Percc1 gene on mouse chromosome 17. It can drive expression of a Percc1 reporter transgene in developing mouse gastrointestinal tissues. Deletion of this region in mice results in disrupted intestinal function and loss of Percc1 expression in developing gut, which is consistent with the congenital diarrheal phenotype observed with deletions of the orthologous region in humans. RefSeqs maintained independently of Annotated Genomes

These reference sequences exist independently of genome builds. Explain

These reference sequences are curated independently of the genome annotation cycle, so their versions may not match the RefSeq versions in the current genome build. Identify version mismatches by comparing the version of the RefSeq in this section to the one reported in Genomic regions, transcripts, and products above.
