Summary
Enables tropomyosin binding activity. Involved in lens fiber cell development. Acts upstream of or within adult locomotory behavior; muscle contraction; and myofibril assembly. Located in cortical cytoskeleton; membrane; and sarcomere. Is expressed in several structures, including central nervous system; heart; hemolymphoid system; musculature; and sensory organ. Used to study dilated cardiomyopathy. Orthologous to human TMOD1 (tropomodulin 1). [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Nov 2024]
Expression
Broad expression in heart adult (RPKM 56.3), liver E14 (RPKM 21.5) and 15 other tissues See more

RefSeqs maintained independently of Annotated Genomes

These reference sequences exist independently of genome builds. Explain

These reference sequences are curated independently of the genome annotation cycle, so their versions may not match the RefSeq versions in the current genome build. Identify version mismatches by comparing the version of the RefSeq in this section to the one reported in Genomic regions, transcripts, and products above.
