Summary
Enables protein heterodimerization activity. Contributes to DNA-binding transcription factor activity and RNA polymerase II transcription regulatory region sequence-specific DNA binding activity. Involved in Malpighian tubule development; neuroblast fate determination; and positive regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II. Part of transcription regulator complex. Is expressed in several structures, including anlage in statu nascendi; head epidermis primordium; larval midline neurons; midline glial cell; and somatic precursor cell.
