Rbf - Retinoblastoma-family protein

Enables DNA-binding transcription factor binding activity and RNA polymerase II transcription regulatory region sequence-specific DNA binding activity. Involved in several processes, including DNA endoreduplication; negative regulation of macromolecule metabolic process; and regulation of cell cycle process. Located in chromatin and nucleus. Part of DRM complex; Myb complex; and Rb-E2F complex. Is expressed in several structures, including embryonic/larval midgut primordium; germline cell; gut section; head epidermis primordium; and mesoderm. Used to study cancer and prostate cancer.
