Predicted to enable DNA-binding transcription factor activity, RNA polymerase II-specific and RNA polymerase II cis-regulatory region sequence-specific DNA binding activity. Involved in negative regulation of synaptic vesicle exocytosis and response to salt stress. Predicted to be part of transcription regulator complex. Predicted to be active in nucleus. Is expressed in several structures, including adult mushroom body dorsal accessory calyx; anal pad primordium; calyx of adult mushroom body; embryonic anal pad; and embryonic hindgut. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in congenital heart disease and ventricular septal defect.
