Wdr62 - WD repeat domain 62
Involved in regulation of mitotic cell cycle. Located in interphase microtubule organizing center and mitotic spindle. Is expressed in several structures, including adult head; dorsal ectoderm; dorsal epidermis primordium; embryonic foregut; and epithelium. Used to study high grade glioma; microcephaly; and primary autosomal recessive microcephaly 2 with or without cortical malformations. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in intellectual disability; nephronophthisis 20; polymicrogyria; primary autosomal recessive microcephaly; and primary autosomal recessive microcephaly 2 with or without cortical malformations. Orthologous to human WDR62 (WD repeat domain 62) and MAPKBP1 (mitogen-activated protein kinase binding protein 1). [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Dec 2024]
