Involved in mitotic chromosome condensation and synaptonemal complex disassembly. Located in chromatin and nucleus. Part of condensin complex. Colocalizes with chromosome, centromeric region and heterochromatin. Is expressed in central brain primordium; embryonic brain; larval ventral nerve cord; organism; and ventral nerve cord primordium.
