MTF-1 - Metal response element-binding Transcription Factor-1
Enables DNA-binding transcription factor activity and transcription cis-regulatory region binding activity. Involved in several processes, including positive regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II; response to copper ion; and stress response to metal ion. Located in cytoplasm and nucleus. Is expressed in several structures, including embryonic/larval garland cell; embryonic/larval midgut primordium; garland cell primordium; gut section; and larval muscle cell. Orthologous to human MTF1 (metal regulatory transcription factor 1). [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Dec 2024]
