Mipp1 - Multiple inositol polyphosphate phosphatase 1
Enables inositol phosphate phosphatase activity. Involved in open tracheal system development and positive regulation of filopodium assembly. Located in external side of plasma membrane and filopodium. Is expressed in several structures, including adult head; adult heart; embryonic/larval tracheal section; gut section; and visceral mesoderm derivative. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in papillary thyroid carcinoma and pontocerebellar hypoplasia type 16. Orthologous to human MINPP1 (multiple inositol-polyphosphate phosphatase 1).
