    Summary
Enables RNA polymerase II-specific DNA-binding transcription factor binding activity. Involved in positive regulation of glycolytic process; positive regulation of lipid biosynthetic process; and positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter by glucose. Acts upstream of or within nucleocytoplasmic transport. Located in cytoplasm. Is active in nucleus. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; central nervous system; eye; genitourinary system; and immune system. Used to study oligoasthenoteratozoospermia. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in Takayasu's arteritis. Orthologous to human MLX (MAX dimerization protein MLX). [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Dec 2024]

RefSeqs maintained independently of Annotated Genomes

These reference sequences exist independently of genome builds. Explain

These reference sequences are curated independently of the genome annotation cycle, so their versions may not match the RefSeq versions in the current genome build. Identify version mismatches by comparing the version of the RefSeq in this section to the one reported in Genomic regions, transcripts, and products above.
