    Summary
    ybeB is a non-essential gene as shown by the tolerence of an insertion; this insertion caused a wide-cell phenotype that was attributed to reduced expression of downstream genes pbpA and/or rodA, not ybeB itself, however it forms a synthetic lethal with minCDE.
