    What's a GeneRIF?
    1. Report shows the functional similarities and differences of TAF10 and TAF10b, orthologs of Drosophila melanogaster. In silico modeling suggest that dTAF10 and dTAF10b have similar secondary structures with a histone-fold domain, same interaction partners and similar expression patterns in neuronal tissues. dTaf10 isn't required for morphogenesis, but animals lacking its expression show distorted eye development.

    2. The lack of both dTAF10 proteins resulted in failures in the larval-pupal transition during metamorphosis and in transcriptional reprogramming at this developmental stage.
