    1. The secretion of curli subunits depends on a dedicated lipoprotein, CsgG, which is found to form an oligomeric secretion channel in the outer membrane that contains a predicted 16 molecules per asymmetric unit.

    2. The csgFG and crl mutants were deficient in their biofilm formation capabilities and did not form a pellicle at the air-liquid interface.
