    Summary
    LysR family. [More information is available at EcoGene: EG12825]. Mutation and gene fusion studies have shown that AaeR is a positive transcription factor for the divergently transcribed aaeXAB operon and is required for upregulation of expression of aaeXAB in response to some hydroxylated and nonhydroxylated, aromatic carboxylic acids such as p-hyroxybenzoic acid (pHBA), salicylate, benzoate, and 1-naphthoate.
