    Summary
    The 750 bp region upstream of gadE is termed the Sensory Integration Region and contains sites needed for the regulation of three promoters (P1, -124; P2, -324/317; P3, -566) by activators YdeO, GadX, an a proposed unknown MnmE-dependent regulator, as well as controlling activation by GadE, GadW and EvgA; no Crp regulation or shorter transcripts were observed (Sayed, 2009).
