    1. NorM protects the cell from reactive oxygen specie when the 8-oxoguanine-repair-deficient mutant cannot cope with the DNA damage.

    2. A putative multidrug efflux protein (NorM) from V. parahaemolyticus and its homologue YdhE (NorM) from E. coli were identified.
      Title: NorM, a putative multidrug efflux protein, of Vibrio parahaemolyticus and its homolog in Escherichia coli.
    3. In this study, Delta norE (norM) mutants grow to higher cell density in stationary phase than wild type. Overproduction of NorE (NorM) pump caused cells to reach lower density. NorE (NorM) might export signals for cell-cell communication.
