    Summary

    Official Symbol
    hicB
    Official Full Name
antitoxin of the HicA-HicB toxin-antitoxin system/ DNA-binding transcriptional repressor HicB
    Primary source

    RefSeq status
    PROVISIONAL
    Organism
Escherichia coli str. K-12 substr. MG1655 (strain: K-12, substrain: MG1655)
    Lineage
Bacteria; Pseudomonadota; Gammaproteobacteria; Enterobacterales; Enterobacteriaceae; Escherichia
    Also known as
    ECK1432; ydcQ
    Summary
IS insertions in ydcQ were isolated as suppressors of rpoE lethality; in wt cells, ydcQ mutants downregulate extracytoplasmic stress responses and OM vesicle production is reduced (Button, 2006). [More information is available at EcoGene: EG13760]. The loss of YdcQ downregulates the extracytoplasmic stress response mediated by E and the production of outer membrane vesicles. [More information is available at EcoCyc: G6749].
