    Summary
    Enables DNA-binding transcription repressor activity, RNA polymerase II-specific and sequence-specific double-stranded DNA binding activity. Involved in negative regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II and positive regulation of neuroblast proliferation. Acts upstream of with a negative effect on chaeta development. Located in nucleus. Is expressed in several structures, including gut section; head epidermis primordium; imaginal disc; organism subdivision; and visceral mesoderm derivative.
