    Enables K63-linked deubiquitinase activity and cysteine-type deubiquitinase activity. Involved in several processes, including germ-line stem cell population maintenance; negative regulation of defense response; and positive regulation of proteasomal protein catabolic process. Located in nucleolus. Is expressed in several structures, including adult brain cell body rind; adult fat body; germline stem cell; salivary gland; and synaptic neuropil domain. Used to study congenital heart disease and primary ovarian insufficiency.
