    Summary
This gene encodes a member of the four-and-a-half-LIM-only protein family. The encoded protein functions as a regulator in numerous signaling pathways and cellular processes in development and cellular differentiation, including development and maintenance of the cardiovascular system and striated muscles. This gene also plays a role in bone formation and regulates and bone mineral content and bone mineral density. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. RefSeqs maintained independently of Annotated Genomes

These reference sequences exist independently of genome builds. Explain

These reference sequences are curated independently of the genome annotation cycle, so their versions may not match the RefSeq versions in the current genome build. Identify version mismatches by comparing the version of the RefSeq in this section to the one reported in Genomic regions, transcripts, and products above.
