Part of ESC/E(Z) complex. Is expressed in several structures, including anterior endoderm; central brain primordium; embryonic/larval midgut primordium; male germline cell; and mesoderm. Used to study syndromic intellectual disability. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in several diseases, including Weaver syndrome; gastrointestinal system cancer (multiple); glioblastoma; hematologic cancer (multiple); and renal Wilms' tumor.
