    Summary
    Enables DNA-binding transcription activator activity, RNA polymerase II-specific and RNA polymerase II transcription regulatory region sequence-specific DNA binding activity. Involved in several processes, including regulation of autophagy; regulation of signal transduction; and regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II. Acts upstream of with a negative effect on regulation of hemocyte proliferation and regulation of organ growth. Located in cytosol and nucleus. Is expressed in several structures, including embryonic segment; embryonic/larval midgut primordium; epidermis; fat body; and gut section. Used to study Parkinson's disease. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma. Orthologous to several human genes including FOXO4 (forkhead box O4). [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Dec 2024]
