    miR-300 directly targeted SP1 and suppressed its expression by specifically binding to its 3'-untranslated region.     Study revealed that miR300 expression was significantly decreased in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cell lines compared with normal liver cells. LEF1 which was verified as a direct target gene of miR300, promoted cell proliferation, migration and invasion and mediates the effects of miR300. Low expression of miR300 and high expression of LEF1 in HCC tissues is associated with poor prognosis of patients with HCC.
