    The authors findings suggest that Nkx2.5, as a transcription factor, may be a regulatory element connecting different signaling pathways in response to oxidative stress and that reduced Nsd1 (Nuclear receptor-binding SET domain-containing protein 1) expression could lead to the alteration of global H3K36 and H4K20 methylation, influencing cardiac development.
