    Study shows that PPP1R1B expression in breast tumors is inversely correlated with IGF-1R expression and that the magnitude of PPP1R1B overexpression is associated with reduced overall survival of patients and describes a molecular mechanism in which t-Darpp interacts directly with IGF-1R to promote heterodimerization with EGFR and HER2, resulting in activation of the downstream signaling pathway and increased glycolysis.

    Single nucleotide polymorphisms related to dopamine are associated with individual differences in exploration strategies. Variation in a gene linked to prefrontal dopamine (COMT) predicted the degree of directed exploration, as well as the overall randomness of responding. Variation in a gene linked to striatal dopamine (DARPP-32) predicted the degree of both directed and random exploration.

    t-Darpp phosphorylation at T39 seems to be crucial for t-Darpp-mediated PKA activation and this activation appears to occur through an association with RI and sequestering of RI away from PKAc. The t-Darpp-RI interaction could be a druggable target to reduce PKA activity in drug-resistant cancer.
