Summary |
The nCounter miRGEā¢ assay was used to quantify transcript expression with a custom codeset containing probes for 123 endogenous mRNAs and 25 miRNAs to assess the association of genomic markers with long-term breast cancer survival. A total of 1,253 FFPE primary breast cancer samples with high-quality reads were obtained.

Overall design |
We interrogated mRNAs and miRNAs using the Nanostring nCounter miRGE platform with a custom codeset, aiming to investigate if the PAM50 research model could be improved by addition of other mRNAs and miRNAs implicated in oncogenesis using the WHEL breast cancer cohort with >15 years of follow-up and archived tumor specimens.
