Sample GSM2041418 Query DataSets for GSM2041418
Status Public on Feb 18, 2016
Title BSG1471_IP_Smc
Sample type SRA

Source name Bacillus subtilis cells
Organism Bacillus subtilis subsp. subtilis str. 168
Characteristics genotype: smc (E1118Q) ftsY::ermB, delta-amyE::parS359::cat
chip antibody: anti-Smc
Growth protocol Cells were grown in minimal medium at 37°C to mid exponential phase. Cells were treated with a formaldehyde-containing fixing solution, washed and lysed in the presence of protease inhibitors.
Extracted molecule genomic DNA
Extraction protocol Lysed cells were sonicated and cleared lysates were kept as the input samples. The IP samples were incubated with Protein G coupled dynabeads (Invitrogen), coupled to the respective antibodies (Smc, ParB or ScpB). DNA was purified by phenol chloroform extraction and ethanol precipitation.

Library strategy ChIP-Seq
