Status Public on Feb 18, 2018
Title Low birth weight adult rats on normal diet 1
Sample type RNA

Source name Low birth weight adult rats on normal diet
Organism Rattus norvegicus
Characteristics strain: Wistar
gender: male
age of rats (days): 145
birth weight (percentile): 5-25
tissue: Skeletal muscle
Treatment protocol On delivery, the pups were weighed and grouped as either of lower (LBW) (5-25th percentile) or average (ABW) (50th-75th percentile) birth weight. Each litter size was adjusted to eight pups per lactating female
Growth protocol 24 female (~200-210 g) and 12 male (340 to 350 g) ~10-12 week old Wistar rats were mated in 12 groups, each comprising 2 females and a male
Extracted molecule total RNA
Extraction protocol RNA was extracted from skeletal muscle tissues using TRIzol reagent (Applied Biosystems, Thermo Fisher Scientific, USA) according to manufacturer’s protocol. RNA quality and concentration was determined by using an Agilent 2100 bioanalyzer.
Label Cy3
Label protocol Labeling was performed following standard operating protocol from NimbleGen Systems Inc., Madison, WI USA,. See www.nimblegen.com.

Hybridization protocol Hybridization was performed following standard operating protocol from NimbleGen Systems Inc., Madison, WI, USA. See www.nimblegen.com.
Scan protocol Scanning was performed following standard operating profocol from NimbleGen Systems Inc., Madison, WI USA. See www.nimblegen.com.
Description LBW_AR_ND_1
