Extraction protocol |
Tissue was dissected in an RNase free manner and stored in RNAlater (Ambion) at -20C for no more than 1 month. Homogenisation in QIAzol was conducted mechanically and the aqueous phase separated using a PLG column (Eppendorf). RNA was further purified using RNeasy minelute cleanup kit (Qiagen). RNA quality was confirmed using nanodrop and bioanylizer 2100 (Agilent).
