nitrate ABC transporter ATP-binding protein
Members of this family include nitrate ABC transporter subunits NtrC and NtrD, and bicarbonate transport ATP-binding proteins CmpC and CmpD. This protein belongs to the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) superfamily. Nitrate assimilation is aided by other proteins derived from the operon which among others include products of ntrA - a regulatory protein; ntrB - a hydropbobic transmembrane permease and narB - a reductase.
ABC transporter ATP-binding protein
ABC transporter ATP-binding protein is the ATPase catalytic subunit of an ATP transporter complex responsible for coupling the energy of ATP hydrolysis to the import of one or more from a variety of substrates including nitrate and sulfonates; similar to aliphatic sulfonates import ATP-binding protein SsuB
