bifunctional acetate--CoA ligase family protein/GNAT family N-acetyltransferase
bifunctional acetate--CoA ligase family protein/GNAT family N-acetyltransferase similar to protein lysine acetyltransferases
protein lysine acetyltransferase
This protein, Pat, works together with the sirtuin CobB to regulate metabolism by protein acetylation and deacetylation. It N-acetylates the side chain of a lysine in acetyl-coenzyme A synthetase, using acetyl-CoA as the acetyl group donor.
