Deoxyribonuclease IV is a DNA repair enzyme that cleaves phosphodiester bonds at apurinic or apyrimidinic sites (AP sites). Members of this family include the AP endodeoxyribonucleases Nfo of Escherichia coli and Apn1 of yeast.
